Congratulations to the CO.LAB startups who recently participated in the TENN’s first-ever Demo Day!
Two of our GIGTANK teams – FwdHealth and HutGrip – were among 20 startups selected from the LaunchTN Accelerator Network to be a part of the big event, as was HATponics, one of our spring CO.LAB Accelerator teams. All three did a great job pitching to a major crowd of investors and partners from across the country.
We’re thrilled to announce that HATponics and Hutgrip were selected as two of the 10 winners and will be participating in the TENN’s three-month program, which includes a statewide roadshow, master mentor sessions and targeted VC trips to NYC and Silicon Valley.
HATponics is the commercial arm of a revolutionary farming enterprise that, through organic, sustainable methods, addresses problems of world hunger, water shortages, disaster relief aid and job creation by providing a viable food producing option in a compact, resource-saving aquaponic based farming system. (For more information on the team, check out the feature on nooga.com.)
HutGrip is a cloud-based, process improvement software for the manufacturing industry that helps manage, control and prevent failures. The HutGrip platform optimizes manufacturing processes, enabling users to store data, analyze it, and use that information to modify the behavior of controlled systems.
The show certainly isn’t over for FwdHealth. Currently, the team is continuing to develop the relationships they established during GIGTANK, deepening their advisory board, industry contacts and pilot programs.
It’s safe to say Chattanooga and GIGTANK were well-represented at the TENN’s Demo Day. Be sure to check in for progress as the startups continue to speed toward their growth and funding goals!
