Since 2005, Hal has worked as a consultant and business coach to non-profits and businesses in the US and abroad, serving teams and executives in areas of marketing, business development, strategic planning and personal development. Hal also currently serves as Director of the LAUNCH micro-enterprise development initiative. LAUNCH stands for Leadership Asset for Urban Neighborhood Change and Healing. The program is housed in the Bethlehem Center in Alton Park and has been written about on Nooga and in Times Free Press.
Hal’s past accomplishments include founding several successful start-ups, developing new business for Spheris – a Nashville-based healthcare company listed on Inc.’s 500 Fastest Growing list in ’04 and ’05 – and providing leadership to The Moriah Group, which won the Silver Anvil award in 2006 for excellence in marketing and public relations. Hal has also personally won awards for excellence in marketing and diversity from Southwest Airlines, the Minority Contractors Association, and DFW International Airport.
Hal and his wife, Susanne have three children and live on Lookout Mountain.
