We recently had the pleasure of meeting a young guy from MIT, David Dalrymple. David (@davidad) was brought to Chattanooga by a group of local entrepreneurs from The Lamppost Group to get his feedback on the community and all things geeky. Why would they do that? Well, because he’s the smartest dude any of us have ever met…in fact, he is the youngest person EVER to start MIT graduate school- at the age of 14! David had some awesome insights and takeaways, and we are glad to have met him. We wish him the best as he begins his PhD at Harvard while trying to create the world’s first virtual brain.

Here’s an excerpt from David’s blog about his experience here in town:

“Let’s be honest: if I listed Chattanooga among Boston, San Francisco, New York, Austin, and Raleigh-Durham as one of the most interesting places in the country for people who want to build awesome new stuff, you’d probably think I was joking. And if I told you that a few weeks ago, I would have been.”
