We’ve been following SecureWaters for the last month or so as they won the Throttle Up Competition and finished in the Kauffman Foundation’s Top 50 Most Promising Startups. We found out today that The Enterprise Center and SecureWaters have finalized the licensing agreement with Oak Ridge National Labs for the water monitoring technology.

This is significant because ORNL only does a handful of licensing deals every year. Chris Daly, Director of Tech Transfer for The Enterprise Center, should be commended for his effort on this project. This process can sometimes take years and it takes patience and skill to navigate the bureaucratic nature of the licensing.

We hope to see good things from SecureWaters in the near future!
