After pitching her idea for “honest clothing” at Will This Float? 2013 and winning second place, Temperate Clothing founder Ongeleigh Underwood went on to take her company through the CO.LAB Accelerator and established an office and workspace in the Business Development Center on Chattanooga’s Northshore. Temperate’s mission is to create “clothes to live by…stylish basics in limited editions to be worn in every season, year after year. We strive for fit, quality in production, and easy style.”
In the fall of 2016 Ongeleigh co-founded the Cardui Collective pop-up shop in downtown Chattanooga’s Warehouse Row as part of a continuing effort to offer the community a tangible way to support local makers.
“I participated in the Accelerator program through Co.Lab last year and that was wonderful. I made a lot of connections. They were very helpful and always extremely positive about everyone’s business. It made for a great introduction to the entrepreneurial community.”
