Once again, Will This Float? made a huge splash in Chattanooga!

The big event wouldn’t have been possible without our generous sponsors, our startup-loving community, and of course, the ten talented teams that shared their innovative ideas with us.

In case you haven’t heard, outdoor gear company Granola won the overall FLOAT competition and took home the first-place prize package, which includes a cash award and free consulting hours from Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel and Henderson, Hutcherson & McCullough.

Founded by brothers Kelsey and Conner Scott, Granola makes handcrafted, high-quality products for climbing and outdoor use. Their locally produced offerings have already graced the shelves of regional sporting goods stores. In addition to being the judges’ pick, Granola also earned the title of “crowd favorite” thanks to live tweets from our audience.

Temperate, a designer and producer of American-made clothing, placed second, and Gludi, a virtual assistant for self-managing diabetes, placed third.

Congratulations to all of our winners, and thanks to everyone who contributed to Will This Float? 2013!
